Website Inaccessable

I own a website called SupportingEmployees.com. The domain and hosting accounts are registered to another email of mine; (email visible only to moderators and staff). I purchased this site and it’s content from another user, but that user has not given me the login to the WordPress account so that I can make necessary changes to the site.

I’m sure it looks quite messy from your end, but I’d like to verify my identity and site ownership with you, and see if there is a way to change the email associated with that WordPress site. I believe I have a WordPress account for (email visible only to moderators and staff) as well, and I’ll send this same support ticket from there. Please help any way you can. Thank you.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hey there,

I’m sorry, but SupportingEmployees.com is not hosted at WordPress.com. As such, we are unable to provide any direct assistance in this manner.

The fact that the site may have been built using WordPress, or may mention ‘Powered by WordPress’ (or something similar) simply means it is using the WordPress.org software, which can be downloaded and installed on any web host.

If you’re interested, you can learn more about the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here:

I would recommend getting in touch with your host or domain registrar, Go Daddy for support, or checking out these resources if your site was indeed built with WordPress software:

SupportingEmployees isn’t hosted with WordPress, but the live site is designed from WordPress. I just need to access the WordPress account and remove the AdSense code…

  • Though the site is built with WordPress software, we do not have access to the backend of the site nor do we have the ability to help you gain access. We only have access to WordPress.com sites, not self-hosted WordPress.org sites. You’ll need to contact your host Go Daddy with assistance to regaining access to your account.

    Thanks,
