Website is experiencing a technical issue.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to help me with my issue.

I have been pretty busy recently and haven’t been working on my website. Today I decided to continue working on my website when I couldn’t access my website through mysite.com/wp-admin. I went through my email and found an email sent to me on Jun 3rd (a while ago) about my website is experiencing a technical issue. specifically ‘In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, jetpack.’ I suppose I’m supposed to get rid of this plugin but I’m not sure how to do so as I cannot access my cpanel. I’m not really sure what to do.

  • Hi there,

Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. We’re only able to help with sites hosted on our servers at WordPress.com.

Please ask the WordPress.org community for advice instead. They provide support for the version of WordPress you’re using:

    https://wordpress.org/support/forums

If you’re seeing a “Critical error” message when trying to view your site or access WP-Admin, it’s most likely one of the problems discussed here:

    https://wordpress.org/support/article/common-wordpress-errors/

To access cPanel you’ll need to contact your hosting provider, as that’s the interface used to interact with your site on your hosting provider’s server. (Keep in mind that not all hosts use cPanel.)
