Website is Wiped
-
Hello,
All of my content on my website is gone and all I can see is the “Hello, world” page. When I try to log in to the admin page, it says my username is not associated with an account- “unknown username”. I haven’t
I’ve already contacted GoDaddy about the domain and they said this was an issue with WordPress.
I would like to get my content back ASAP. Thank you!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your website. However, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
https://wordpress.org/support/ is a great resource for sites using the open source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
In this case though, it sounds like your site may have fallen to a widespread vulnerability originating from the ThemeGrill Demo Importer plugin: https://www.zdnet.com/article/bug-in-wordpress-plugin-can-let-hackers-wipe-up-to-200000-sites/
Please reach out to your hosting provider’s support about this, and make this vulnerability clear when you reach out to them so they can more quickly assist you! When you regain access to your site, I’d recommend following this guide to re-secure your site: https://jetpack.com/support/securing-your-site-after-a-hack/
