  when I changed my password, WordPress used half of my password as a website name, not linking to my website.

  The only site I see under your @merlam WordPress.com account when I check on our end is this one: https://merlam.wordpress.com/

  however, it looks like that site has not been used in some time, are you trying to access a different site instead? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?
