Hi, my name is VanessaLimmy and I wanted to create a personal wordpress account under vanessalimmy.wordpress.com but it doesn’t seem to be available, even when I go directly to vanessalimmy.wordpress.com as it says that it does not exist, cannot be registered and is reserved. So now I have tentatively registered under @nessalimmy with vanessalimmyweb.wordpress.com so please help me retrieve my original name thanks!

If you did not create and delete a wordpress.com with the URL vanessalimmy.wordpress.com, then it was created and deleted by someone else. And that’s the reason why you cannot use that blog address.Because once a blog address is created it is reserved for that user even if the user had deleted the site and the address. This is done to secure the users from being impersonated by someone else.
However, sites already deleted by their authors two or more years ago may become available again, if they present no username or other technical conflicts.
