Website not working

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi
I purchased a new theme for my blog the zuki theme. On tuesday I started to work on my new theme and I tried to add all the new features. I realised this theme uses pluggins and the pluggins are not available via wordpress.com I am a bit fustrated that wordpress.com and on themes this is not mentioned. I was advised to move to wordpress.org so I did try with very little success and now I don’t know whats happened but my blog is not longer working.

    Hi Diana,

Your WordPress.org site is hosted at DreamHost — you can contact DreamHost support for more assistance recovering that self-hosted (WordPress.org) site. (The support staff here at WordPress.com can only help with WordPress.com sites; we don’t have the tools or access to help recover sites hosted elsewhere.)

Please let me know if you have any questions about that.

    Hi Diana,

I just reset your WordPress.com blog’s primary domain to your free WordPress.com address, so you can view your blog here: https://lovelifekitchen.wordpress.com/

If you’d like to keep using your WordPress.com blog with your domain lovelifekitchen.com, you’ll need to point your domain back to WordPress.com by updating its name servers:

    • NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    • NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    • NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

(You can make that change with the domain registrar where you purchased your domain.)

Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)

    Hi Diana,

WordPress.com staff can’t make this change for you, since the change has to be made with your domain registrar (where you registered the domain lovelifekitchen.com). However, I can give you some tips for that:

It looks like you registered the domain lovelifekitchen.com at DreamHost, so that’s where you need to update the domain. You’ll need to update the domain’s name servers to these:

    • NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    • NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    • NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

DreamHost has a guide to How to change the domain’s nameservers. You can use that guide to make the change, or contact DreamHost support for more help with that step.

Once that is done, you can go to your My Domains page to make your domain lovelifekitchen.com the primary domain on your blog, or let me know and I can change that back for you.

Please let me know if you have any questions. :)
