Website Struggle

Hiya. I have two issues that I can’t fix. One would be the theme of my website for some reason won’t let me centre my contents but instead, it lines my content to the right. Second, in my ‘home’ page, there’s an unwanted content at the near bottom of my page that says ‘Nothing Found, ready to publish your first post?’ etc, I wanted to remove it but somehow I couldn’t. Could anyone help me?
