Website suddenly not opening

  Starting today, I can no longer access my website/blog. I get a 500 internal server error page. Ping is successful. Does not seem to be any issues with my GoDaddy account. What does one do when something like this occurs? Thanks in advance!

  WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate sites with different username accounts and logins. You are posting to the wrong support forum. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

  timethief, thanks for your reply. I’m a little confused, because I am posting on https://en.forums.wordpress.com website, yet you say that I am posting on the wordpress.org support site? If I am posting on the .org site, why does it say wordpress.com in the menu bar as well? Please help me to understand what I am missing here. Thanks again!
