Website tab

    Hi,

A web developer has set up a website for me using WordPress and has only given me ‘Editor’ rights. The developer is away for 2 weeks on holiday and I have an issue with the website tab and want to know if I can fix it with ‘Editor’ rights.

Here is the site https://www.wildchildfestival.com/ Am I able to change what the website tab at the top says? Where is says ‘Whildchild Festival’ with ‘Editor’ rights? If so, how do I do this?

If not, is there anyone at WordPress who would be able to do it? I am struggling to use the online ‘live chat’ help as I don’t have the developers login details to the site!

    thanks

  • Hi there,

Looks like you’re in the wrong forum. Your site is using the open source WordPress.org software and you need to seek help at these forums:

    https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

These forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only. If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org you can read this document:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    Hi,
It won’t let me log in on those forums without a login which I don’t have as the developer has them. Is there any other way I can get support? Maybe an email address? thanks!

  • This is the managed hosting environment of WordPress.com and we only support sites that are using our service in this forum. We don’t have any access to help you, other than point you in the right direction.

WordPress.org is a separate thing, with a separate login. You need to create a WordPress.org account in order to post in those forums. That is the only avenue of support for running your own, open source, WordPress installation.
