  Is it possible to use a website template free but host it ourselves on our own servers? We are just wanting to update an old website but need a good template.

  Hi there,

  All free themes on WordPress.com can be downloaded for use on stand-alone WordPress sites. You’ll find a download link at the bottom of every theme page at https://wordpress.com/themes/

  There are also thousands more free themes available for the stand-alone version of WordPress on the WordPress.org website where that software is made:

  https://wordpress.org/themes/

  However, note that these themes can only be used on websites built using the WordPress software. If your old website was not built using WordPress, you won’t be able to install a WordPress theme to it.
