Website Transfer

Hi there, I currently have a website I built on WIX hosted by Bluehost. I’d like to try WordPress as I may be switching providers once my contract is up in two weeks. However, I would like to do a trial, go through the website creation to see if it fits my needs, before having to map my domain. Is there any way to do that? Sort of creating a place holder I can later connect if I decide to go with WordPress. Thanks much,

It is completely free to create a site on WordPress.com. You can also import your content from Wix to the new WordPress.com site, completely for free, to see how it will look here and get a feel for how WordPress.com works. Importing the content to us will not remove it from your current Wix site, but will just create a copy on the WordPress.com site.
To create a new site, go to https://wordpress.com/start/site/ and follow the steps. On the domains step, select the free example.wordpress.com address we provide, and you’ll be able to create your site on the free plan.
