Website won’t load to allow me to edit
-
Every time I try to edit my website, I get a constant ‘thinking’ and spinning 4-dots. I am able to access the back of the site and update plugins and edit forms but I am not able to edit the page.

Hi @maxcantor061217, sorry to hear that. Could you send a link to the site you’re having trouble with?

Hi, my website http://www.guildofmakers.org won;t load – I get the “Waiting for guildofmakers.org” and a spinning arrow.
I was working on it this afternoon, and among other things updated a whole load of stuff (I don’t remember what) and also tried to disable buddypress.
I have now gone in via my webserver and changed the theme and renamed the plugins.
It’s still the same.
Other suggestions welcome.
Thanks.

Hi –
guildofmakers.org is hosted by dream host not WordPress.com. This means you are set up on the other version of WordPress – the open source WordPress.org software. Help with that comes from https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

I communicated with a person at BlueHost and they ran some tests. They disabled my W3-Total-Cache plugin and it worked immediately. I updated some plugins a couple of days later and the W3 plugin activated again and I had the same issue. I had to go in and Deactivate and it worked perfectly after that.
I am not sure how applicable this will be for everyone else, but worked for me.
