We've lost our lovely posts! Help!

  We are probably just being hopelessly dim, but after a long vacation we returned to our “Sexy Time with Dr. Servetus!” blog and have discovered that something like a hundred posts have simply disappeared. Can you help us? We’d like to see them again.

  You should check your email: it looks like you may have been hit with a Cease and Desist or something.

  Are the posts on the Dashboard Posts page, perhaps as Private or Drafts?

  Thank you, thank you! We haven’t gotten a cease and desist email, and the posts aren’t among the private or draft ones, so we don’t know WHAT happened. And we miss those posts, we really do.

  I checked your blog’s history, and I see that about 5 months ago you trashed most of the posts on your blog. Posts sent to the trash are permanently deleted within 30 days: Trash

  Please let me know if you have any questions about that.

  What an idiot I am. Last night I thought “Did I just trash the whole blog?” and realized I might have. Darn, now I’d really like to see the stuff I trashed.

  You’re welcome — sorry I didn’t have better news to deliver. :( In the future, you might want to try exporting your blog before deleting posts. That way, if you ever change your mind, you can re-import the posts to get them back on the blog.
