We've renewed, but forwarding is STILL not working.

We NEED
http://northcountymakerfaire.com
to forward 302 to
http://northcounty.makerfaire.com
(please note the dot between county and maker)Apparently the domain expired, and despite the fact that we were still paying to have it forwarded, it now shows the OLD site again. We have now paid for the domain… and hours later it still says the domain has expired, and does not forward.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
The site redirect upgrade on your site belongs to the username, northcountymakerfaire. I can only make changes to that upgrade at that user’s request.
That said, the site redirect is already pointing to northcounty.makerfaire.com. It’s not working because of the two expired domains that are also on the same site. For the next day those domains can still be renewed at the regular cost. From tomorrow a late fee will apply to renew them.
Or we can cancel them and remove them completely from the account, at which point the site redirect should start working again. Once again, I’ll need northcountymakerfaire to reply here to confirm if I should cancel the domains.
Once we cancel those domains you’ll lose any ownership claim you have to them. They’ll go through a redemption phase at our registrar of several weeks before they’ll be released for anyone to register them again. There is a $80 fee to restore a domain once it enters redemption.

I have admin access to the site, but I can’t see anywhere to find out who this “northcountymakerfaire” user actually is. Is there any way to get even a hint of who that user is? So far we’ve asked jose, kevin, travis, uyen, and myself, james and none of them seem to be aware of being that account. I’ve tried to log in as northcountymakerfaire and sent a request for password reset, but no one seems to have recieved it. If we knew who it was, we could dig in further and check old email addresses, etc…

I cannot give you any more information aside from the username, but I will send an email to the address we have on file for that account. If one of you receive the email, you’ll know who owns the domains
I can also tell you that that’s the username that actually owns the site itself, i.e. the person who originally set up the site and purchased the upgrades.

We were able to find the user resolve the issue.
Just a quick note: It would have caused a lot less confusion if the error message had said that the /WordPress hosting service for the domain/ had expired instead of saying that “the domain” had expired. The domain registration had NOT expired which confused us greatly.

I’m glad you were able to access the account.
WordPress.com hosting cannot expire. Hosting on WordPress.com is free for life, and you do not pay us for hosting. But your site is also not hosted with us – you have two domains registered with us, but you are redirecting them to a site that is hosted with a different provider.
It was the domain registration for the two domains, northcountymakerfaire.com and northcountymakerfaire.org, which had expired. I see you have now renewed both those domains.
