What are the advantages of upgrating to PRO

    I have a domain with you which I got for free in 2009 and in 2 1/2 yrs. I have almost 400,000 visitors. I want to be able to take advantage of this traffic. I want to know what would the upgrade to PRO bring me in terms of freedom to do what I want with my website. Would I be allowed to sell things? Would I still have the same protection I have now against hackers, etc.?

    As for selling things, I’m afraid e-commerce isn’t possible here at WordPress.com.

    If you require e-commerce/shopping cart functionality, you might be interested in a self-hosted (WordPress.org) installation. There are no restrictions on e-commerce if you set up a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities.
