What can't I find the blog I want?

I just wanted to let you know that I hate your site. I signed up to be able to contact a single blogger but I can’t figure out any way to find his blog through your site. His blog is called On Baroque, yet the tag “Baroque” doesn’t find it; I only get many other “recommendations” of sites I might like. I seem to be able to reach his blog only through the email I received confirming my subscription. And I could only find this comment page again through the email you sent. Your site is impenetrable to me.

Maybe he’s not USING the tag “Baroque.”

Wouldn’t the title of a blog automatically be found if I search for it? And I can imagine he didn’t tag the word “Baroque” because it would automatically be found anyway since it’s the name of the blog. In any case, I do have url of the site thanks to the email, but not thanks to Word Press.

No, titles of blogs and tags used on the blog are not in the search parameters; only contents of the posts.

And does this seem logical to you? Am I supposed to guess what he might have chosen to tag (which, for a blog on baroque classical music, doesn’t seem to be baroque, classical or music). I guess it’s the blogger’s loss if no one can find his blog, but making it possible to search a blog by its title seems like a no-brainer to me.

I’m not here to interpret the minds of the software designers. I’m just here to tell you how it works.
Of course, any moron can search for a blog’s title using google, but that blog has low SEO and doesn’t hit the front page of google for its own name.

I understand. As you say, a moronic search will find it after searching through 160,000 sites, but I simply thought that a blog on WordPress should be searchable through WordPress. Foolish me. And I’m not asking for your interpretations, though I do appreciate your help. But I posted my complaint here for the very purpose of lodging a complaint with the software designers. I hope they occasionally read their own forum.
