What changed in pasting into the edit screen?
-
In the past few weeks, I’ve noticed a problem with the edit screen. I used to be able to select text in another window with my right mouse button, and then paste it into the WordPress screen with my middle mouse button. Now when I try that, I get a dialogue box that tells me to use Ctrl+V/Cmd+V keyboard shortcuts. These have no effect. What’s changed, and how do I change it back?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

So, that tells me why it changed, but not how I can make this work once again. Is this possible? I’m selecting a few words from a gnome-terminal window, and pasting them into firefox, all with my three-button mouse. I can paste into here normally, but not into the blog compose area.

No, it is not possible to go back to the way things previously were. But I see no reason that your method would stop working, provided you’ve enabled keyboard shortcuts on your options. Perhaps if you try pasting into an interstitial text editing program?
