What Does the Word ‘Primary’ Mean
-
I am in the process of creating another WordPress.com Website titled ‘MabuhayExpats’ (https://wordpress.com/customize/mabuhayexpats.wordpress.com) and, in the drop down menu to the left of the mentioned URL Page is the word ‘Primary’. What does this mean? It’s been over a year since I initially constructed Mabuhay US Veterans and, I never saw the word ‘Primary’ when I first constructed that site.
Additionally, how do I add Blog, where when ALL of my posts are eventually posted, that will wind up under the Menu Heading ‘Blog’, which I can them switch them to a Parent Category and, eventually to a Child ‘Sub-category’?
Additionally, can you provide me with ‘step-by-step written instructions instead of just referring me to another WordPress.com Website or a You Tube Video, as I am in my 70s and like to see everything ‘in writing’ for me to review and re-review as often it takes and, then take whatever action is required.
One last question, am I supposed to sign out from my other WordPress.com Website titled MabuhayUSVeterans while creating my newest website, as I prefer to have both open simultaneously?
Thanking whomever that responds to my query ahead of time!

Hello there,
in the drop down menu to the left of the mentioned URL Page is the word ‘Primary’. What does this mean? It’s been over a year since I initially constructed Mabuhay US Veterans and, I never saw the word ‘Primary’ when I first constructed that site.
In each account, there’s a primary site set in https://wordpress.com/me/account which is the site that will be linked to when commenting or interacting with other bloggers.
Additionally, how do I add Blog, where when ALL of my posts are eventually posted, that will wind up under the Menu Heading ‘Blog’, which I can them switch them to a Parent Category and, eventually to a Child ‘Sub-category’?
You would first set a posts page via Appearance > Customize > Homepage settings:
https://wordpress.com/support/pages/front-page/#step-3-create-a-blog-page-optional
You can also add category pages to menus too:
Please see a guide of how to do this here:
https://wordpress.com/support/posts/categories/#category-pages-and-menus
One last question, am I supposed to sign out from my other WordPress.com Website titled MabuhayUSVeterans while creating my newest website, as I prefer to have both open simultaneously?
Signing out wouldn’t be necessary.
I hope this helps.

Thanks for your responses!
You helped before with the issues that I had with my WordPress.com Website titled MabuhayUSVeterans and, now a year later, I noticed that there have been more changes occurring with the creation of another WordPress.com Website (which is very similar to MabuhayUSVeterans and, titled to be “MabuhayExpats”.
As long as I am writing to you, I do have one other question, that has been bothering throughout the day, which is, “About”. I am using the “Exford Theme” for my new MabuhayExpats WordPress.com Website (which I also used for my WordPress.com Website MabuhayUSVeterans, which has the word “About” showing. Yet, with MabuhayExpats (https://mabuhayexpats.wordpress.com.), there is no “About” showing. How do I get the word “About” to appear on my newest WordPress.com Website, as I have done a lot of research on the internet and, wasn’t able to turn up anything?
You’re help would be very much appreciated.
Once this issue is resolved, I believe I can then go active with my newest account and, start copying posts that I wrote and published on MabuhayUSVeterans and, can then paste them into the same category(ies) that I established with MabuhayExpats.
Thanking You Ahead of Time,
Respectfully,
Mabuhay US Veterans / Mabuhay Expats
P.S. The Philippine Term for “Mabuhay” means “Welcome”.

My mistake, pertaining to my P.S., as the Philippine Term “Mabuhay” means “Long Live”.

Hello there,
Glad to see we’re making progress. :)
Looking at https://mabuhayexpats.wordpress.com/ it looks like you need to first create a page called About. You can see how to do this here: https://wordpress.com/support/pages/#create-and-edit-your-pages
Once the page is created and published, you would then be able to add this to the menu.
Please see how menus work here: https://wordpress.com/support/menus/
I hope this helps.

Thanks again for your response.
Prior to contacting yourself last night my time here in the Philippines, I already wrote an article pertaining to “About”, saving it as a draft on my WordPress.com MabuhayExpats (https://mabuhayexpats.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=post), so I am good to go, in that respect.
However, with what you recently provided to me, in your message last night, ” https://wordpress.com/support/pages/#create-and-edit-your-pages” I can move forward with finalizing the “About Menu”! (NOTE: I didn’t know that I could “actually publish” the “About” Article, not until my site was ready to go but, apparently I was wrong with my assumption and, will look into greater detail as to what you provided and, if I have any further issues today, I will ask one more question (which I hope that you are the Staff Member that will be able to answer my question).)
Respectfully,

I was successful with the creation of the Menu titled “About Me” shown on this page: https://wordpress.com/customize/menus/mabuhayexpats.wordpress.com yet, my number one question at this time, is when I hover my cursor over the words “About Me”, how do I insert the draft version that I mentioned in my previous message that I sent to you earlier this morning (shown above), as when I do so, “About Me” doesn’t open up for me to enter what I prepared?
When I place my cursor over the pen the words “click to edit this menu” appears and, yet (for me anyways), there is no way for me at this time, to enter what I prepared as a draft post, which I had hoped that I could copy and paste into this location, thus allowing me to move forward and activate my site.
Hopefully, this makes sense to you, as to what I am asking.
Respectfully,

P.S. While I am thinking of this, I created a new email address for Mabuhay Expats and, was wondering how do I get to send you message via the forum using the new Outlook Email Account, because as it was explained to me, I needed to create a separate email account for each now WordPress.com Blog Account? Please note, that this website: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-connect-microsoft-outlook-to-wordpress/ talks about how to do it but, I don’t know if what is being explained, can be used with two separate WordPress.com Websites https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/ and https://mabuhayexpats.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ as, I don’t want to go anywhere further until I am sure that whatever you may know, will indeed work. Otherwise, as it stands now, this response and all previous responses have been going to the Outlook.com Email Site that was set up for MabuhayUSVeterans.
Hopefully I am making sense to you.

Hello there,
> is when I hover my cursor over the words “About Me”, how do I insert the draft version that I mentioned in my previous message that I sent to you earlier this morning (shown above), as when I do so, “About Me” doesn’t open up for me to enter what I prepared?
Whilst the page is a draft, it’s not possible to add it as a menu item, however, I do see the About page has been published and added to the menu, but there is no content there.
> was wondering how do I get to send you message via the forum using the new Outlook Email Account, because as it was explained to me, I needed to create a separate email account for each now WordPress.com Blog Account?
It’s not essential to create a custom email email if you do not wish to. You can change the email address to account here:
https://wordpress.com/me/account
If you wish to use the Outlook email.
I hope this helps.

Just awoke from my late afternoon nap and, going over some notes of mine, I realize that “About Me” (which I just checked “Pages” which it is). However, unsure how to copy the “draft post” and have it show up as a “Page”, which might require me to do some more research, as to what I did find, says that you can’t do it in WordPress.com, you might want to hold off with your response to me.

Please disregard my earlier message, as I was able to copy from what I wrote as a Post and, published it as a Page, on my WordPress.com Page – https://mabuhayexpats.wordpress.com/about-me/
Additionally, while reviewing what I initially sent to you, I noticed that you already responded as to not having to use the new second Outlook.com Email Address that I set up and, can continue using what I have been using all this time. So, that feedback was very much appreciated.
I guess now, is to just double-check my work before I delete the previously mentioned Post (that is now a Page) and, then if I have any further questions, I will be contacting yourself.
So, thanks for everything that you provided and, best of luck to you in all your future endeavors.
Respectfully,

Sorry to bother you, but I have another question that is “bugging me”. When do the various categories that I created show on the Home Page (https://wordpress.com/view/mabuhayexpats.wordpress.com)? Do they appear after I launch?
The other question that I have is the word “Blog”, which is listed as a Default and, knowing what I have in my other WordPress.com Site titled MabuhayUSVeterans, everything that I wrote, went to “Blog” (which I believe is referred to as a “Slug”). Once I create a post, which I currently show as being a “Draft” until I Publish / Launch my site, will I be able to at that time, to switch it to the corresponding “Category” that the post was supposed to go to? (NOTE: For the past couple of weeks, I have been doing a complete make-over of MabuhayUSVeterans, with the creation of numerous sub-categories, versus just having my Veteran Members click on the “Category” and then have to scroll through the countless articles that are all combined under that one heading. Now, it’s much cleaner, as my Veteran Members can click on the “Sub-Category” and voila, the article is there for them to read.)
So, is there anything additional that I need to do, to ensure that what I will post, will actually go to the “Blog Slug” or, will it go directly to the “Category” that it was intended for?
Once again, any and all help will be greatly be appreciated.
Thanking you ahead of time.

P.S. I followed your instructions last night with the clicking on https://wordpress.com/me/account – which worked just like you said.
