What happened? Blogs now mixed up
-
For some reason, all of my blogs are messed up right now! I have three blogs – 2 defunct ones, and 1 I update regularly. I tried to Ping.fm to update, and when I came back what was supposed to be a layout for one blog was actually the name and layout for another, etc! I have no idea what is going on, and now when I type in my blog URL it actually takes you to a different blog of mine also hosted on wordpress.com .
-
To add more info – I cannot access my blog. Whenever I put the URL in, it takes me back to a blog I had years ago. Any ideas, or even keywords to try to look this up?

What is the URL of the blog that has “changed?” The one connected to your username is: http://www.educateyourself.wordpress.com/
-
The one connected to your user name says: “The authors have deleted this blog. The content is no longer available.” when I try going to it.
-
No, not that one. I have one at http://www.savingincincinnati.wordpress.com , and that one redirects me to the old one. Also, all the settings for the old blog have been moved over to the new one.

Yeah, savingincincinnati.wordpress.com redirects to gardenchickadee.wordpress.com for me.
This is beyond the volunteers here in the forum. Send all the details to support (they are 24/7 now). Too much detail is never enough.

I THINK I figured it out – can you refresh and let me know?
The savingincincy blog has no official “title”, because when I inserted a title it messed with the header. So the title space under settings was empty.
I think what happened was when I tried to use ping.fm and the blog had no title, it took my main (old, defunct) blog and kind of “bumped” all the empty info (like title) into the SavinginCincy one.
Er.. make sense?

Interesting. Now they are both resolving fine for me.
That’s a new one. I never thought that would cause an issue.
Glad it is resolved though.

Me too! I had just sent a nasty email to ping.fm – but since I have figured out the problem, I plan to email back, apologize, and then let them know all the details of this bug so they can know about it. Thank you so much!
