What happened to my site and my domain
-
I go to my site, and there it is, but when I click on ‘my site’ on the upper left hand corner, it’s blank. I’m invited to begin a site. So did I let my domain expire? Did I miss a notice? I don’t know, and I don’t know who to ask. I don’t know how to renew it. I go to the domain site, and it just says my domain is — big surprise — already a domain. I’m lost.

Hi there,
Of which site are you speaking, please? The account you’re using to post here owns one site, http://jennilaidmancom.wordpress.com, and that site was upgraded to our Personal Plan for the first time since its creation only yesterday. The account you’re using to post here has never owned any custom domains on WordPress.com.

I own jennilaidman.com. I bought the domain and have had WordPress site with that domain name for something like 10 years. That domain is also associated with a gmail account. I use jennilaidman.com as my email address domain. For several weeks, that domain is rejecting emails from other people. Google insists the problem is not on their end. I’ve upgraded storage, so it can’t be a storage problem. So the domain problem would have to be here, where I get my domain. But I can’t talk to anyone at WordPress about this. There’s no way to reach a human. So yesterday I paid so I could chat. Half way through the chat, I goofed, got cut off, and now can’t get back to the chat again. So now I still don’t have a functioning domain, I’m paying for a wordpress subscription to a site I don’t give a damn about, and I don’t know how to associate my jennilaidman.com site with this paid account. If I can’t, than I don’t want this account. Look, I need help with this problem, but WordPress is impenetrable and unhelpful. Can you help me please with these issues?

Hi there,
jennilaidman.com is not under the account that you are contacting us from, but rather another WordPress.com account with the username jennilaidman. You have two WordPress.com accounts. Do you happen to know the login credentials/password of the other account? If so, you can log in to that account to gain access to the domain.
I’m paying for a wordpress subscription to a site I don’t give a damn about
I can cancel that subscription and issue you a refund if you’d like. However, with that upgrade under the account you are contacting us from, you can contact us via live chat if you want to talk to staff in real time: http://wordpress.com/help/contact
Let me know.
I don’t know how to associate my jennilaidman.com site with this paid account
If you are able to log into the account that owns jennilaidman.com, you can follow the steps here to transfer the domain over to the account you are contacting us from:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/transfer-a-domain-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
