what happened to the free option

  I selected the Free option but checkout is requesting credit card info and $99… why?

  If you enter a custom domain URL this can happen. Let’s ask Staff to explain this to you. I will type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff help.   Hi @mollyadminwp, if it was $99, it means you added a custom domain and the premium plan to your cart. Looks like you’ve removed those, so you should be set. If you need more help, let us know.
