what happens to existing blog if I upgrade to pay for a domain name?

  If I switch to a domain name what happens to my existing posts under the address originally chosen with wordpress included in it? Will the blog remain intact? Or will I have to start fresh?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Nothing whatsoever happens to the blog except that it has a temporary dip in search engine standings, as the new URL starts to collect incoming links and the old one loses them.
