What happens to my blog content if I move from .com to .org and change themes?

  Sun Bros Studios will be launching a web comic and the current features of wordpress.com do not allow for easy viewing and archiving. If I purchase a Guided Transfer to move my blog from wordpress.com to wordpress.org and then change my theme using comicpress or another plug-in … will I have to go back and reformat everything? Won’t changing the theme ruin the layout of the pages I’ve already created?

  The theme doesn’t have affect on the posts layout. But depending on the theme’s design the general homepage may look differently.
