What happens to my email after I delete a WordPress Account?
-
Hi there, I realised I made a mistake in using my main personal email for a WordPress and Gravatar Account when my Gravatar image showed up next to my email address whenever I sent out an email. I tried to remove the image, delete my WordPress account, and I waited 30 days – the image still shows up. It’s a google account, and according to google, my email profile picture is empty.
I tried logging into WordPress with the email address, and it says that no user exists. Yet if I try to create a new account with that email, it says my email is already in use and I need to log in. If I try logging into Gravatar, I don’t get to choose which WordPress account to log in with – it just uses my current one.
So, how do I completely unlink my personal email address with WordPress and Gravatar?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Edit: It automatically adds my current wordpress at the bottom of my inquiry, but that is not what I’m having a problem with!

Hi there,
What is the email address in question? If you type it on its own line it will be hidden automatically so only staff can see it.
Gravatar images typically get cached by third party services that use Gravatar, so it’s possible the image can be cached at your email client’s end even though it no longer exists on our servers, but if you give me the email I can make sure it’s completely removed on our end.

Hi there, thanks for responding!
It’s (email visible only to moderators and staff)
If it has been completely removed, I suppose it must be an issue with the email app I use.
