What notifications do subscribers to my site get (or not get) when new material or comments get posted to the site?

Each new Post is emailed to your email subscribers – the Post is also added to your RSS feed.
Visitors can subscribe to comments on an individual basis when they have made a comment or they can subscribe to your RSS comment feed and get all comments

PS – add the RSS widget to your sidebar so visitors can easily see that a feed is available
