What plan to choose

    Hi – I have a wordpress site samahoward.com and I need to update it. Problem is that it was developed by someone who had created a plugin but he hasnt updated it so I cant do anything with the site. Do I need to start over? Also with the $8 plan can I create more than one website? Finally I need to add a survey to one of the new sites… will the $8/month site work for that.

    Hi there,

    The site at samahoward.com was created using the open source WordPress software at another hosting provider, so that site has nothing to do with WordPress.com. As I don’t have access to that site’s dashboard, I have no idea how it was built, so can’t really advise you on what you need to do.

    Please try asking in the self-hosted WordPress forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ instead – someone there might be able to help.

    Also with the $8 plan can I create more than one website?

    WordPress.com upgrades plans are per site, not per account. You can create as many free sites in your account as you want, but if you want multiple sites to be on paid plans, you’ll have to buy a separate plan for each site.

    Finally I need to add a survey to one of the new sites… will the $8/month site work for that.

    You can create Crowdsignal polls on any WordPress.com site, including free.

    However, to embed full surveys would most likely require a plugin, and that would require our Business plan.
