What should I do when the system recognizes my email account but not my password
-
I am an instructor at a college in Japan, and I am using WordPress in one of my classes. My students are registered as authors of our class blog. However, one of the students ran into a problem when she tried to open a WordPress account. When she tried to re-register, she could not use her email address, which made it impossible for her to continue. The system claims that her email address is already in use, and it does not recognize her password. She does not have another email account. I don’t know what went wrong. Any ideas? What can I do to remedy this problem?

You should direct her to this page:
http://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If she has access to her registered email, she will be able to use it to reset her password.

Last week; she tried again, and was able to sign in no problem, but if the problem arises again, I will try your suggestion. Thank you.
