It is reserved because someone has the username vacanzefilosofiche and that blog is reserved for them.

    Hi raincoater,

I have a similar problem. Someone has signed up using mbendi as a user name. We have owned the domains mbendi.com and mbendi.co.za for 18 years and run a very popular business information service. Our CEO’s bi monthly editorial, The world after 2020 has been reblogged on a few occasions and our web site is referenced on several blogs as well so we have decided to set up a WordPress blog. Is there a way to contact the person who has signed up using our brand name? The person does not blog.

Can anybody help me on this?

The mbendi login does not belong to anyone associated with our company. It is not a real word in any language and is in fact made up of the initials of the company directors. All we want to do is contact the person who registered the login and since he does not blog, ask for our company name to be un-reserved if possible.

    Regards,
    Gert

Your best bet is to leave a comment on the blog. He probably has it set so he gets an email when someone leaves a comment. The blog will not be turned over to you or deleted just because you have a company with a similar name.

    Thanks for the response.

Thing is, the blog does not exist. I used the login name as part of a forum profile url and the guy had a blog called http://mortenbendiksen.wordpress.com which he has deleted. I’m not expecting miracles but I’m hoping that there is a way we can come to some sort of amicable agreement. I searched Google for his name and I found a famous photographer so I’ve sent him a message on Facebook – really have my fingers crossed on this one.

    Thanks again.

    Regards,
    Gert

That’s about your only hope. Good luck.
