What's the best way to host student podcasts?
-
Hi there,
I’m a teacher and am beginning to experiment with different ways of getting integrated into on my classroom on an on-going basis. I was hoping to have each of my students create their own blog on which they would post monthly podcast recordings of book reviews they’ve done. A computer whiz friend of mine suggested that I check out wordpress as opposed to blogger (which is what I’ve used for blogging with students in the past) and I’ve got to say that I really like how straightforward your sets-up is. Now, it looks like your free blogs allow for 3GB of space, but I don’t know if that space can include hosting files that users have uploaded (i.e. students blogs hosting their review recordings) or if that only includes things like pictures and text.
If it doesn’t include hosting recordings, then what I think would be the most feasble is for me to set up a blog for the whole class to use and then to purchase a space upgrade and host all the recordings in the one location.Hoping you can help determine if this is the best option. If it’s not, can you suggest a better way to go?
