When I delete a user from my blog do their posts also get deleted?
-
I deleted one of the users on our blog. She had 17 blog posts under her name. Before I deleted her I read on a post that turned up in a google search that the post she wrote would not be deleted as well, but I would be given a chance to reassign them to another user/administrator. However, when I deleted her, her name disappeared and I was given no prompt to reassign her posts. I don’t want to lose her content so what do I do?

The prompt should have definitely appeared, but maybe the posts were already re-assigned.
Would you please give us a link to one of the posts?

Yes, the prompt definitely did not appear when I deleted the user. So as a precaution I went into dashboard sorted all the posts by author. Although I deleted the user, her posts were still came up under her name. I then went in and reassigned all her posts to a different user. Mind you, I did the reassigning AFTER I deleted the user.
Not sure why the prompt did not appear. In any event the posts are still present this morning, properly reassigned so I’m satisfied since my main concern was the loss of the posts themselves.
