when I log the URL ‘https://deanmjevons2016.wordpress.com’ I see my old entries but cant add any new ones

  this URL ‘https://deanmjevons2016.wordpress.com’ is not what I see when I look at the WordPress my site button so I cant add a new blog to it

  You are posting here as the username, deneboul2010. This account owns only one site, https://darkforest885049651.wordpress.com/

  https://deanmjevons2016.wordpress.com belongs to a completely different WordPress.com username account. To make changes to that site, log out of the deneboul2010 account and log back in as the username you’d used to create the other site.
