  When trying to access WordPress.org, I get this message: You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page. I am the owner of this page!

  Thanks. The website http://www.projectrental.com/ isn’t hosted at WordPress.com — it’s a self-hosted WordPress site using the free software from WordPress.org. To manage that site, you’ll need to log in using your login credentials for that site (which are separate from your WordPress.com login credentials) here:

  Hi. I did log in, and my problem is the message “you don’t have sufficient permission to access this page”. Is this an error due to access or because I put in the wrong password? I’m assuming it’s access and am worried my old developer (who ripped me off) has access and I don’t.

  That site is not hosted by WordPress.COM. Our support docs do not apply to it and you are posting to the wrong support forum.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
