Whenever I try and open my site it comes up with a ‘Not Found 404 error’

    Everything was working fine and then all of a sudden it logged me out and when i logged back in there was an error and underneath ‘Welcome’ on my site it says ‘view box5173.temp.domains’ and then a ‘not found error’ Please help urgently!

    Hi there, what is the site URL of the site you were working on?

    If by chance you need help with a site using the open source WordPress software, you’ll want to head over to https://wordpress.org/support where they have more experience with the software you are using. If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums you can register one on the top of that page. You can also contact your web hosting provider for assistance with this issue.

    Just to clarify, this support forum assists users of the WordPressdotcom platform. WordPressdotcom (where we are ) and WordPress are separate entities with different documentation and support forums.     So here’s what I can see so far:

    It looks like you had a site using the WordPress open-source software hosted with plusline.net. I suspect this was the source of the 404 error that you saw. Soemthing pust have gone wrong on Plusline’s end.

    Yesterday, you purchased a WordPress.com Premium site plan and set your domain’s nameservers to point to our servers. That is why today, there is no 404 error. You also purchased a Jetpack Premium upgrade yesterday.

    Now, the question is, do you want to have a WordPress site hosted with Plusline (in which case you would not need the WordPress.com Premium plan)? Or do you want a site hosted here on WordPress.com (in which case you do not need the Jetpack Premium upgrade)?
