Where can I change or remove what I use to calls menus?

I haven’t checked in to WordPress in quite awhile. I need to remove one of the links or menus or whatever you call them now across the top under the header image (mine are Home, About, Papers, Need copyediting?). I can’t find setting for them anymore in the dashboard. When I click on any of the items under Appearance, the dashboard disappears and I’m back on my page with menu items on the left. In none of them can I find those things I need to work with. When I click on Menus, it says I haven’t created any. Where can I access them?

  • Hi there,

I did not see you mention it, but you are referring to your WordPress.com site at https://rmwade.wordpress.com/ yes?

When I visit that site I see the following menu:

Are you trying to add more items to your menu? Currently I do not see a custom menu set up on this site, so it is instead showing the default menu which automatically lists “Home” plus the two pages you see here: https://wordpress.com/pages/rmwade.wordpress.com

You can create a custom menu by following the steps here, which will allow you to determine the order of the menu tabs as well as add/remove tabs manually: https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
