Where can I place URL for automatically pings?
-
Hi!
I´m new to blogging in wordpress and wonder where/in which menu I can find ping automatically?Best,
MagnusThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Every time you publish a Post WordPress does the Ping for you – the only way to turn it off I think is to set your blog to “Private.” There is no “Ping” menu of any sort.

Hi!
Thanks for your answer.Ok, is there a table of which sites that could be pinged…?
Best,
Magnus -
Don’t really know about a table of sorts, they do call the major search engines, that is about all I ever looked at – then there is the RSS feed that anyone can subscribe to that gets updated every-time you publish a Post
(Put the RSS Widget in your sidebar so anyone can easily see the feed)

WordPress.com blogs have pinomatic built in. > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/02/15/new-content-wordpress-com-pings-for-you/

Here’s a Support doc which explains how your feed is pushed out to services http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/ and there’s a link there to Ping-o-matic which shows which services are pinged.

Hi again!
A real big thanx to you who have answered my question(s)! I couldn´t imagine that fast “forum service”! It is real nice. I started blogging a few weeks ago and this week I met a guy that worked for Twingly – a company that have nice apps for blogging – maybe you will find something useful! I did!Best,
Magnus
