  Where is the ‘hide featured image’ button and the button to make my post a ‘featured post’?

  http://lovelyasamother.com/ is not on WordPress.com. It’s using the open source WordPress software. Help for that can come from https://wordpress.org/support/

  You’ll likely just need to remove the featured image, but not actually hide it.
