Where do I find my cname or A-records?

Dear friends,
I build my new website in WordPress and want to transfer it to my own hosted url. My provider told me that they don’t give away the domain (DNS doen’t work) but they can make a transfer using a Cname or A-record. Does anybody know how this works or where I can find this records!Mille grazie!

You can map your existing domain to your WordPress.com blog following this guide:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/
You’ll need to be able to change the domain’s nameservers as outlined in the guide, as cannot support mapping via A record or CNAME.
