Where do I go to have this private and via email only? I can’t find it.

    I quite my Blog a wee bit back. What i am presently doing i don’t like, i.e., Writing to Family/Friends. I feel like I am intruding. I do love to write. It seems better that i should write and let them come to where I have posted instead of insisting on them having something in their inbox from me that could be several times a week.
    I have tried to look it all over again today. I don’t like any of the themes. I don’t know how to make my own. At 83, should I just ‘close up shop’ and say enough is enough> I have bothered you all so much in the past. But think writing i still in my blood. How can you help me? The layouts that I like are no longer up for use – they are long retired. Please can you help privately?

    Hi there, @mrhlrh214. If you had an upgrade plan previously for your WordPressdotcom website under this account or another account, you also had access to direct support via LiveChat and email. However, all users who have a free WordPressdotcom website are helped here in these community forums.

    I suggest starting with a clean or minimal theme and let your content be the focus. When your family and friends read through email or the WordPressdotcom Reader, the layout doesn’t come through there, only your content does. So all the extra gewgaws and doodads aren’t so important.

    Try a theme like Independent Publisher 2 https://wordpress.com/theme/independent-publisher-2 where the focus is on the writing. You can also change themes later if you find one you like.
