Where is Auto Embed box in wordpress.com.

  I have looked in Media Settings page, but there IS NO Auto-Embed box. I need to check it to embed vimeo and youtube video. Any ideas? Thank you.

  It’s already enabled, and you can embed videos from said sites following these guides:

  Vimeo

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/

  okay so macmanx, thanks for letting me know it’s embedding is already enabled. Now I know that’s not the problem. However, I have copied and pasted the URL address onto a separate line of my page according to instructions, but both vimeo and youtube videos appear on page as links to videos, not the videos themselves. Any remedies?

  Some browsers will still paste the URL as an active link (blue and underlined in the editor). If you see that, just highlight the URL and hit the button which looks like a broken chain in the editor toolbar.

  Thank you macmanx. The URL is not linked, but still no video. What other things can I try?

  Oh, I see the problem, they also can’t be aligned in any way.

  It needs to be the raw URL, not surrounded by any HTML.

  It might be easier to clear this up in the editor’s Text tab.

  That worked beautiful. Thanks a million Macmanx. Maybe you can help me with something else: My featured image will not upload onto my blog page. I have different featured images for all my static pages, put blog page just will not take, even when I re-size it to 1000×288. (By the way, it’s the same picture as my custom header image on front page.) Can you help me with this, or do I need to go back to support page?

  Ok, https://playsolodotnet.wordpress.com/category/blog/ is just a category listing (showing all posts under the Blog category), so Featured Images do nothing how.
