Where is my dashboard???

  I am trying to build a blog page but my dashboard is missing on post editing page. I am sure it is a simple fix

  Hm, Hi there, I’m not quite certain I understand.

  You won’t see your site’s dashboard in the sidebar when you are editing or creating a post. Only when you close the Editor will your site display your MySite Dashboard

  Also mentioning that it looks like you might have a WPcom upgrade. If so, you are also able to access direct support by LiveChat or email when you post to the contact form at https://wordpress.com/help/contact for help. You needn’t post to the community forums.
