I haven’t logged on in a while and tried today but it says I don’t have a website. What happened?

I have no idea what happened, which site you refer to, and where it is hosted.
What is the exact URL starting with http:// of the site you referring to please?

We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to

You do not have a wordpress.com site that you have provided a URL for and domain mapping cannot be done without registering one and purchasing a plan.
Please read this carefully:
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, support docs and support forums, run different theme versions of themes with the same names, and many people get confused about the two. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/I am not convinced that you had a wordpress.COM site with domain mapping. I suspect that you had a wordpress.ORG site.

I understand this is not a .org support and do not recall if it was a .com or .org. If you google triathlon superclydesdale, you will see a few .com postings of mine (IM Florida Race recap and IM TX) which makes me believe it was wordpress.COM. I purchased a yearly plan in 2015 when I created the domain and my billing info. should still be on file.
Would I be able to log in if it wasn’t a wordpress.COM site?
Does it go inactive if one doesn’t log in?

There seems to be a mix up. I didn’t ask you to look at that website but rather mentioned you will see an old posting if you google “triathlonsuperclydesdale” on a http://www.triathlonsuperclydesdale.com site which says is no longer available.
does that imply it was a .COM site and not a .org?

There is nothing in Googles cache for this URL and the site was not found in the wayback machine.

Hi there,
This WordPress.com account you’re using to post here has never owned any sites on WordPress.com. You created this account two years ago and have not been active on it since then, until you verified your email address 14 hours ago. You have never purchased any upgrades using this account.
The domain, triathlonsuperclydesdale.com, has never been connected to any site on WordPress.com, so if you had a site at that domains, it was with a different hosting provider.
Website hosting and domains are both paid services, so you should have emails, receipts and credit card statements containing the names of your domain and hosting providers. You’ll need to contact them to find out if any content from your site is still recoverable.
If you google triathlon superclydesdale, you will see a few .com postings of mine (IM Florida Race recap and IM TX) which makes me believe it was wordpress.COM.
A site appearing at a .com domain does not mean it’s on WordPress.com. The extension used by your domain has nothing to do with who is hosting your site, and none of the sites I see if I Google those terms are hosted on WordPress.com.
