Where your blog posts appear

This is a very basic question, and I’m kind of hoping that someone can just direct me to some really easy to follow directions. I want to know if there is a way to divide my blog into stories about 3 different “families” (for lack of a better word) and have new blog posts about the different families appear on the page made for them. In other words, have it not matter what date I publish it on, because chapter 8 of one families story is published after chapter 25 of another story.
The way my blog is now the posts just show up at the top of my list. And all on one page.
I hope this makes sense. It’s probably a really easy question to answer so you’ll be reading into it trying to find a deeper question. Lol, no, Basically I just need to know if I can dictate where my blog posts appear.

You can do this using categories.
Assign a different category to each group of stories. Then you add that category directly to your site menu.
The main posts page will still show all your posts, but each category page will only show posts that have been assigned to that category.
