Which WordPress plan to choose

  BlueHost designs and hosts my personal website and I use WordPress for blog posts. Why do I need BH if WP hosts sites? Why can’t I have free WP for my BH site?

  Hi there,

  WordPress.com is a hosting provider for the free, open source WordPress software, same as Bluehost.

  You only need a plan from us, if you want to host a site with us. If you only host your site at Bluehost, you don’t need any upgrades from WordPress.com, and in fact it’s not possible to buy a WordPress.com plan for a WordPress site at another host.
