  Is my wordpress information kept private from whois or any other site? As far as a blog site goes, does my IP address and email address..etc, show in the search engines or Icann.org?

  Hello there, WHOIS information is only relevant on a custom domain registration. If you register a custom domain here on WordPressdotcom, you can choose Private registration which will substitute proxy details in place of your own for ICANN purposes. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-registrations-and-privacy/

  When you comment on someone else’s website while logged in with your WordPressdotcom account, both your email address and your IP address are visible to the site owner, but are not displayed publicly. More here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/#privacy
