Why am I not able to activate my account?

    Hello.

    I have received the activation email and clicked the link. This brings me to a screen that says ‘Your WordPress.com account has been activated!’. When I return to my profile the error ‘Please verify your email address’ is still displayed on top of the screen. I have tried to resend the activation email, but this does not resolve the issue.
