Why are my blog views not showing up?

  Hi, I’ve used wordpress a few times before but with this new blog, I’ve noticed that the only views I am seeing on my stats page are my own. I know this because up until sept 1st, I had my blog marked private and was frequently viewing it myself to make sure everything looked right. Now, I let my blog go live to the public and have two posts up already, but I’m not seeing any views at all from today or yesterday. I know this can’t be right because I’ve gotten both likes and subscribes since then. Why aren’t my views showing up in my stats?

  Hi Mattie,

  When your blog is private, your own visits to the blog will count in your stats. Once it is public, others can read your posts, like them, and follow your blog from the WordPress.com Reader. Unless they visit your blog itself, your site stats won’t show those activities as views. If you’re interested, you can learn more about how your stats work here: Stats
