Why are the editing options available in theme preview not there after purchase?

I purchased the AVID theme. In the preview I was easily able to remove the “texture” on the background and change colors of the text so that the headings still showed up when I changed the background colors. Now I cannot find any way to change colors without having to purchase another $30 upgrade on top of my $60 theme purchase. I don’t understand why the things I was able to easily accomplish in the preview of the theme editing options are no longer available without additional purchases. If those features are not included with the theme it seems deceptive to include them in the preview trial. Can you help me?

  • In this case, I recommend contacting the developer directly for help: http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/avid

For future reference, there will be a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard, but the theme needs to be active and you need to be signed in as the user who purchased it in order to see it.
