Why are we unable to renew our domain name through wordpress?

  I am trying to update the domain name for my business workplace unsuccessfully. I am logged into the wordpress site and have gone to ‘my upgrades’ as instructed in the email I was sent. It doesn’t work. PLEASE ADVISE! thank you!

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Only the WordPress.com account that was used to purchase the domain name originally can manage and renew that domain name. Your account raskinantiques is an editor on the site, but the site owner/administrator owns the domain name — you’ll need to log in with that account (or have the account owner log in) to renew it.
