Why aren't the changes to my image saving??

    I have two issues, please help me!
    (1)I’m trying to crop and rotate an image for the image widget, despite following all the steps on your edit image help page and your image widget help page, I can’t seem to make the changes save, it just reverts to the original image size.
    (2) And then when I paste the file url of the image into the image widget dropdown the original image doesn’t even display in the sidebar on my site, nevermind the cropped version which is what I want. All that displays in the sidebar is the little pic icon or the alternative text.
    I’ve tried clearing browser cookies and cache.
    Help me please! I am going round in circles!
