Why can I no longer add myself as an editor using a different wordpress account?

I seem unable to add myself, using my email from a different WPr account. I have done this previously but can’t do it now. I am able to add other people but no myself (using other accounts).
I have searched the help files but could find anything. I WPr deleted cookies.
I recently transferred a blog to the account in question (socedassoc.wordpress.com).
I would really appreciate some help since I cannot understand the problem.

I now see that my issue is nothing to do with transferring to another account. I have tried inviting myself on another account on a blog which has not moved and the same problem arises. I receive the invitation. I click on accept. Nothing happens. In the list of invitees I am still listed as someone who has not yet responded (“waiting”).

I also notice that when I have accepted the invitation the email sent out says “David Pavett has accepted your invitation to contribute to . ” and does not name the blog. So, something amiss there too it seems.

Are you logged into the correct WordPress.com account when you click the link in the invitation email? If not, that could cause problems.
Log out of WordPress.com completely, log into the correct account, then click the link. Let me know if that helps.

Yes that sorted it!
It might be an idea to include a warning on that since quite a few people work with multiple accounts – an some of them might be as dense as me.
